Whisky Live Beirut’s fourth edition kicked off on Thursday, October 10 at Seaside Pavilion. The three-day event, which is dedicated to showcasing the best international whiskies and white spirits, was inaugurated in the presence of Lebanon’s Minister of Tourism H.E. Avedis Guidanian, presidents of associations and syndicates, trade representatives, international experts and the media.

“We are honored to be hosting Whisky Live Beirut in our magical capital for the fourth year,” said Joumana Dammous-Salame, managing director of Hospitality Services, the event organizer. “Over the coming days, more than 3,300 visitors will be here with us to experience exquisite brands that have been brought especially to Beirut. It’s a social event not only for whisky enthusiasts but for all those who enjoy the finer things in life.”

The show gathers more than 60 specialist producers, distributors and suppliers, offering visitors a rare opportunity to sample some of the finest whiskies around, including premium single malts, bourbons, Scotch, Irish and Japanese whiskies.

“This year, Beirut is going to be amazing,” says Rob Allanson, global ambassador of the Whisky Live network. “It’s all about discovering whiskies that you haven’t tried before and experiencing new flavors.” Allanson joins a number of other international experts and brand ambassadors who’ll be hosting masterclasses at the show and sharing know-how with visitors.

Indeed, more than 20 small-group masterclasses will be taking place during the three-day event for visitors to learn about and taste limited-edition whiskies. In addition, there will be: three bars —a Star Bar, VIP Bar and Discovery Bar — highlighting rare whiskies, new releases and cocktails; a Coffee in Good Spirits Competition showcasing alcohol-based coffee beverages; and a whisky boutique, where guests can benefit from discounts on their purchases. Lebanese artisanal whisky and gin producers will also be launching there specialty brands at the show: Jun and Junipium Lebanese gin, Kor, Lebanese vodka, Athyr, Lebanese whisky and Brew Inc., Lebanese beer.
